AI image credit & content credentials

This translation is for information purposes only. The German version is the only legally binding version.

On rubedo-spa.de, image content is predominantly created with the help of generative artificial intelligence or edited with AI-powered tools. We label this transparently — visibly on every image and in detail on this page. In doing so, we comply with the transparency obligations that have applied across Europe since 2 August 2026.

As of October 2026

What does the ‘cr’ pin mean?

Content Credentials. The small circular icon in the top right-hand corner of an image indicates that this image was generated by a machine or substantially edited using AI.

The symbol featuring the letters ‘cr’ is the official mark of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) — an industry-wide standard being developed by Adobe, Microsoft, Google, the BBC, Sony, Reuters and others. The pin stands for ‘Content Credentials’ and makes the provenance of an image traceable.

We use the minimalist version of the pin. Hovering over the icon displays a tooltip; clicking on it takes you to this page containing all the background information.

Why we use AI-generated images

A consistently harmonious, serene visual style is essential for brand perception in the premium and longevity sectors. Traditional image production involving models, sets, studios and post-production is resource-intensive and rarely suffices for the multitude of visual requirements demanded by a modern website. With curated AI images, we can

  • Maintain a consistent, calm visual style across all pages,
  • respond editorially to a variety of ritual and treatment contexts,
  • Avoid using stock photography, which appears identically on almost every wellness website.

We deliberately use AI where it provides gentle support — whilst respecting resources and time. The care remains human.

The recurring client persona

In some images — including the opening image and the key motif of the Origo dimension — a calmly portrayed client figure appears. This person is fictional. She was deliberately created as a consistent, AI-generated model because the visual concept needs a recognisable face — without a real person having to give up personality rights for it.

The character does not correspond to any real, identifiable person; any resemblance is purely coincidental. If you notice a resemblance to a real person, please write to us at info@rubedo-spa.de — we will investigate the matter and replace the image in question.

Note on the studio photos

The photographs of our house at Marienstraße 58 are original architectural photographs by a commissioned photographer. One of these photographs was lightly retouched with AI tools (the image-editing mode of Google Nanobanana Pro via fal.ai) — specifically, a letterbox unit in the foreground was removed to sharpen the hero image. Real photos retouched with AI do not carry a ‘cr’ pin; we point this out here. The photos of Monica are also real photographs, retouched with AI tools. They do not carry a pin. The other studio photos are unedited.

Note on AI audio

Individual audio pieces — such as the audio sample ‘Spiramen’ in the ‘Origo’ dimension — are compositions whose sound was generated using generative AI. Concept, curation and artistic direction are by Monica Galletti; ownership and licensing are held by Rubedo Spa. We also transparently disclose the use of AI in the audio content.

Tools used

We currently use the following AI image tools:

  • Google Nanobanana Pro (Gemini 2.5 Flash Image) — image generation with identity reference and image editing.
  • fal.ai — a platform for model control, temporary outputs and conversion into web-compatible formats.

The final image files are optimised locally in WebP format before being published. We archive the original files and the underlying prompts internally so that their provenance remains verifiable retrospectively.

Legal basis

This labelling complies with:

  • EU AI Act, Art. 50(2) and (4) — Obligation to clearly and visibly label synthetic or substantially AI-processed image content (mandatory from 2 August 2026).
  • C2PA Content Credentials Specification 2.0 — a technical standard for marking the provenance of digital content; the ‘cr’ pin is the official identifier.
  • UWG / competition law — transparency about synthetically generated image content helps prevent misleading advertising.
  • Rights of personality (German Artistic Copyright Act (KUG), German Basic Law (GG) Art. 2(1) in conjunction with Art. 1(1)) — the fictional client persona does not infringe the image rights of real persons.
